Clwyd was approached to help develop a new compound for a specialist application for nuclear submarines, we worked very closely with the project team and the new material was developed meeting both the specification required and the processing requirements, with the development coming in time and under budget.

The development was that successful that the project won the Silver Award; the awards are internal to the company however, due to the support Clwyd had delivered throughout the project the Technical Director was invited to the awards ceremony in London to receive the award.

Since approaching Clwyd Compounders to optimise our compound, we have been impressed every step of the way from the quality of the technical support to the quality of and consistency of the compound provided, this means we are able to now run our injection machines for days instead of hours without the need of an operator.

My colleagues and I are really impressed with Clwyd Compounders after the latest visit to the new site. The support regarding technical questions is exceptional, and for sure the key to success – besides the performance of the products. We are still testing the performance of the NBR, so far only good results – fingers crossed.

We always came to Clwyd when product quality was paramount, recently we have moved to using all Clwyd compounds where possible as we have found the consistency in their material is second to none and as such we save many hours of setting up jobs or tweaking moulds.
