Your Data Safe in our Hands

In September 2024, Clwyd Compounders Ltd became an accredited
Cyber Essential Plus company.

With ever increasing cyber security threats, and higher security demands from our aerospace and defence customers, we needed to demonstrate our systems conform to the latest ‘Industry Best Practices’.

The process of achieving Cyber Essentials Plus, was far reaching and covered every aspect of our IT systems and how our team operate.

  1. An extensive end to end audit of all hardware and software operating on our network was conducted ensuring we are using the most up to date equipment and most secure operating environment. We also undertook enhancement of firewalls, security configuration, user access control, malware protection, and patch management.
  2. We invested in MS 365 Premium across our user base so we could use MS Entra and MS Intune to monitor device compliance.
  3. Enhancing our total system back up, to a fully automated incremental cloud based system. This, in conjunction with our on-site replication server gives us double redundancy for additional security and continuity.
  4. Training for all users for improved awareness of security threats and introduction of 2 factor authentication.

An external audit was conducted by an independent company to sample our operations and challenge our security systems, and our systems and processes passed with flying colours.

Carla White, IT Manager at Clwyd Compounders added,” The Cyber Essentials journey was challenging and time-consuming, however we now have a system which is robust and totally secure. Where our customers data and product information is such a critical aspect of our business, ensuring our entire IT infrastructure is fully accredited, to industry leading standards gives great comfort and reassurance”.
