Today both John, as Managing Director and Sarah as Administration Director are actively involved in the day to day running of the Company. Clwyd has occupied the same site close to Wrexham in North Wales since its inception but has seen many changes. The Company now employs a total of 53 people including 3 fully qualified rubber technologists and some 33 production staff. The factory houses state of the art compounding facilities, mills, internal mixers and a dedicated clean room for speciality elastomers. There is a fully equipped laboratory for compound development and quality control.

Clwyd Compounders can offer the full range of compounded elastomers including Natural Rubber at one end of the spectrum and Silicone and Perfluoroelastomers at the other making it a one stop shop for all polymer requirements.

The Company’s products find their way into a wide variety of end use applications and markets including automotive fuel systems, aerospace seals, North sea oil applications and many more. Most of these compounds have been designed and developed by Clwyd Compounders.
